Chaff would be decent against NPCs as well as a heatsink. Chaff is questionable in PvP due to fixed and hitscan weapons being the norm. Heatsink just comes in handy on almost any build.

Challenger is superior for PvE due to hardpoints and tankiness, Chief is able to keep up more in PvP due to far better speed. Both are worth keeping. Bear in mind Chief may be better in PvE vs large ship [s due to superior piercing on the Large compared to 2 mediums.

The Fer-De-Lance is a beast of a ship but limited to fighting only human vessels and once its shields are down, you're in trouble. The Alliance Chieftain is similarly deadly and maneuverable but its reliance on hull strength is a blessing and a curse.
